Michael Ray was born in Upstate New York. At the age of 9, Michael began studying and performing magic. Michael, throughout his life has been in and out of Radio Broadcasting as an "On-Air" Personality. Lots and lots of public speaking exposure!!! These experiences proved to be a building block on which his future was molded.
As an adult, Michael spent 6 years in the United States Navy Submarine Force. After his hitch, Michael went to college studying; Computer Science, Business and Psychology. While atteding College, Michael was a willing participant in a Hypnosis program. He later witnessed 2 other performers and caught the bug!!!.
Michael then shifted gears and began an aggressive campaign to master the techniques of Hypnosis. Within 6 months, he had it down to a science. Michael had made a contact through his radio job and made arrangements to bring his show into a nightclub in the MidWest. One problem... Though Michael had the techniques down... there was NO SHOW YET!!! He spent countless hours comming up with original ideas to put into his program. Michael then gathered friends and family in the basement of a VFW to do a "live run" of his show. (Unlike other forms of entertainment, there is not a way to rehearse without actually doing it. It was "Sink or Swim" time!!) Success!!!
Michael has always had a warped sense of humor! It was a natural to combine the tecniques of Hypnosis with his sense of humor to create one of the funnest shows around!
Michael has gone one to perform for numerous High Schools, Colleges, Civic Groups, Corporations, State and County Fairs and Festivals throughout the U.S. and into Canada.
Michael is most proud of the Fund-Raising work he has done! Various groups within High Schools have raised literally "Tens of Thousands" of dollars. One school's "Latin-American Studies" group boasted raising nealy $3,000 in One Nights Perfomance!!! An American Legion Post in UpState NY raised Over $2700! Think About It!!! A Night Of Comedy... Or Selling Candy Bars??? One School has had Michael Ray's Comedy Hypnosis Program back for 16 years straight!!!
